Please check with the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate if you need a VISA to get into our country. In case they ask you for an invitation letter or some declaration, do not hesitate to inform the Executive Secretariat. We recommend special attention to the deadline to get this document.
VACCINATION
Kindly contact the Brazilian Embassy or Consulate, because citizens coming from some countries are asked to have a vaccination certificate to get the entry visa to Brazil. Check the vaccines and medicines list and visit your doctor (ideally, 4-6 weeks) before your trip to get vaccines or medicines you may need. Yellow fever vaccination has been temporarily expanded for travelers.
CURRENCY
The Brazilian currency unit is the “Real” (R$), divided into 100 “centavos”. Its equivalence regarding the US dollar isabout US$ 1 = R$ 5,50. US dollars are easy to exchange anywhere in the country. International credit cards, such as American Express,Mastercard (Credicard and Diners) and Visa are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants and stores.
CLIMATE AND CLOTHING
April is the Autumn first month, with average temperatures between 20º and 25ºC (68/77ºF). It is advisable to wear light clothes during the day and a sweater in the evening. Air conditioning may create a chilly atmosphere in the Convention Center.
VOLTAGE
The electric current in Sao Paulo is generally 110 volts Please note we have different power plugs (as in the image). You should take a plug adaptor for electricalshavers and other appliances.
